Privacy Policy

The Professional Business Coaches Alliance (“PBCA”, “we”) runs pbca.com. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• When you contact us, request a coach match or join our mailing list: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message.
• When you register for an event: your name, email address, and what you registered for. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
• If you are a member: your account details, and the profile you choose to fill in (business name, contact details, location, specialties, designations and a photo), your answers to member forms and assessments, your event registrations, and your membership and payment history, including history carried over from our previous website.
• Automatically: your IP address, which we use to protect our forms from abuse and which appears in our server logs; your timezone, so event times show correctly; and when you were last signed in.

How we use it

To run your membership and the member area; to register you for events and take payment; to reply to you; to send sign-in links, receipts, event reminders and other messages about the services you use; and to keep the site secure. To send our newsletter, if you signed up for it. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

What other members can see

If you are listed in the member directory, other signed-in members can see your name, business name, city and state, and photo. You choose whether they also see your email, phone, website, street address, specialties and designations: email, website, specialties and designations are shown unless you turn them off, and phone and address are hidden unless you turn them on. You can change these at any time in your account, or leave the directory entirely.

You can also choose to appear on our public “Find a Coach” directory. This is off unless you turn it on. If you do, visitors to the site can see your name, business name, city and state, photo, website, specialties and designations. Your email, phone number and street address are never shown to the public. You can turn this off at any time in your account.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the site, and only for that purpose: Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services (email), Mailchimp (newsletter), Cloudflare (network and security), OVH (hosting), and Google (address suggestions when you enter your address, and the videos on our homepage). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies

We use cookies to sign you in and keep you signed in. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site; Google sets its own cookies for this. We do not use advertising cookies. The videos on our homepage are embedded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.

How long we keep it

For as long as you are a member, and afterwards for as long as we need it for our records and legal obligations. Contact-form messages are kept for 3 years.

Your choices

You can see and update most of your information yourself in your account. To ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion, email support@pbca.com.

If we change this policy, we will update the date below.
